Best Jet Ski Wakeboard Racks

Jet ski wakeboarding is becoming more and more popular. If you want to get into it, you are definitely going to need a special jet ski wakeboard rack. Carrying the board while you ride is a pain.

People used to repurpose or build their own racks. Luckily, thanks to demand, many companies have begun making wakeboard racks designed for jet skis.

With all of the options out there, you very well could spend hundreds of dollars on a rack that doesn’t even fit on your jet ski or fit your wakeboard.

Whether you are looking for a rack for your brand of jet ski or universal racks, we will Cover your best options in this guide.

The best wakeboard racks are:

  • Tow Pro
  • Sea-Doo Wakeboard Rack
  • Jettech Wakeboard Rack
  • TC-Home wakeboard tower

Sea-Doo Racks

Tow Pro

This is our #1 favorite wakeboard rack. It is a 3-1 and will make your jet ski wakeboarding experience so much easier. It is a tow pylon, a spotter handle, and an equipment rack. The tow pylon is lifted above the water surface which makes wakeboarding or skiing more manageable and boat-like. The line getting caught in the water is usually the biggest problem with wakeboarding on a jet ski. You don’t have to worry about that with this system.

The spotter handle allows you easily have a spotter sit on the jet ski backward without flying off.

The Tow Pro is designed for all Sea-Doo models, but you can install it on other jet skis as well. You may need to make some modifications and screw some holes, but it would be worth it if you are serious about wakeboarding.

It can hold just about any wakeboard or kneeboard. Just lock the wakeboard in place, and when you are ready to ride, the rack opens up into a handle and tow pylon. It holds one board.

Sea-Doo Wakeboard Rack

This rack is made by Sea-Doo and also fits most Sea-Doo models. This is a more simple option compared to the Tow Pro. It is just a rack but it is designed specifically for jet skis. It fits flush on the back of a jet ski, allowing your board to not get in the way or block your line of sight or peripheral vision. It fits one wakeboard, any size.

Some Sea-Doo models may require you to drill holes with this one. It definitely fits all 3-seat models. This is a more affordable option compared to the Tow Pro, at about $175.

Universal Racks (Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda)

Jettech Wakeboard Rack

Jettech Surf Rack System
If you can get your hands on one, this is the best universal wakeboard rack because no modifications to your jet ski are necessary for installation. The rack simply clamps to the side of your jet ski. Each rack is designed to carry two boards and can hold surfboards, wakeboards, kneeboards, wakeskates, and all other types of boards.

It is guaranteed to stay fit on the jet ski in even the most choppy ocean conditions. The models it is compatible with are:

  • Yamaha FX SVHO, FXHO, FX160, FX140, GP1200r, GP1300r, GP1800, FZS/R HO, VX 1100, VXR 1800, EX
  • Sea Doo GTI, GTR 215, GTR 230, RXP 215, RXP X 260, RXP X 300, RXT X 300, GTX, Spark 2 UP, Spark 3 UP, Spark Trixx, Fish Pro
  • Kawasaki Ultra 310, Ultra 260, STX-12F, STX-15F, Ultra 300
  • Honda AquaTrax R-12 X, AquaTrax F-12 X, AquaTrax F-15 X

This rack is a bit more pricey, coming in at $645 for a set of 2 racks.

TC-Home Wakeboard Tower Rack

This is a more affordable option but it will require some work. Some people prefer to completely modify their jet ski to make it ideal for wakeboarding by installing a tower bar. If you do this, then your options for wakeboard racks become much bigger, as you can now use any style rack that are typically designed for boats. Jet skis don’t come with towers, which is why it can be hard to find affordable options for board racks. TC-Home makes racks for as little as $70.

Best Beginner Board For Jet Skis

Full Throttle

Lastly, we thought we would include our favorite beginner wakeboard for jet skis. This board is suitable for all skill levels but is designed for beginner and intermediate riders. When choosing a wakeboard, you should go with quality because it will make a MAJOR difference in longevity. Fiberglass begins to separate when exposed to water over time. This means you will want to get a layered fiberglass board if you want it to last year after year. The extra money will be worth the investment in the long run.
